Its is an acronym for Hybrid On-Line Analytical Processing. HOLAP is an implementation approach that combines the MOLAP and the ROLAP storage engines. HOLAP involves both relational and multidimensional data storage as well as combining data from both relational and multidimensional sources for data cube operations.
