According to a notification, issued by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), on May 26, 2013 Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) marked the onset of the two-week programme for Telenor executives from Dtac (Thailand), Grameenphone (Bangladesh) and Telenor Pakistan.
The programme aimed at delivering a lifetime experience to the future leaders of this dynamic organization. The leading telecom giants of the region thus capitalised on all resources LUMS takes pride in – the erudite faculty team, the diversity of LUMS campus and the excellent residential facilities at REDC. The programme was designed to comprehensively deliver the best practices in the field of management, tailoring the takeaways so that they stay germane to the particular sector the executives came from. The efficacy of the programme magnified owing to the rigour and relevance of the experience the participants underwent during their time at REDC, under the guidance of programme directors, Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan and Ayesha Bhatti.
This is the seventh in the series of residential programmes at REDC developed for Telenor, a partnership which has flourished on mutually cherished values of entrepreneurship, management excellence and employee empowerment. In addition to executive development interventions, LUMS has joined hands with Telenor in developing cases in the area of organizational culture, telecom financial services and business intelligence which celebrate this prolific union of corporate and the academia.
