According to a notification, issued by the Punjab University (PU), the university has commenced regular classes at Jhelum Campus and initially, three disciplines i.e. Computer Science, Commerce and Business Administration have been started.
Administrator Jhelum Campus Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, faculty members and newly admitted students in a statement appreciated the policies of the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for promotion of education in the province. They thanked the CM for gifting Jhelum campus to the people of this area as Punjab University’s campus and the next generations would benefit from it.
They also lauded PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran for taking personal interest in starting classes in the shortest time. Akram Ch highlighted the role of PU in the field of education and research at national and international level especially during the tenure of the present VC for raising the standard of varsity in all the fields.
