PU - Dr Malik to get International Arch of Europe Award 2012

According to a notification, issued by the Punjab University (PU), the Business Initiative Directions (BID), an international organization based at Madrid, Spain while admiring the innovative leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ehsan Malik as a Director General, Punjab University, Gujranwala Campus (PUGC) has selected PUGC for International Arch of Europe Award (IAEA) 2012.

According to the press release, for selection of IAEA Award 2012, a voting process was carried out during the BID World Congress with meetings in Paris, London, Geneva, Frankfurt, Madrid and New York over the past twelve months, based on one or several of the concepts such as the QC100 principles, Customer Satisfaction, Leadership, technology, best practice, business results, ISO 9000 and TQM. Previously, Dr. Ehsan has won many awards in his professional life as an academician and an administrator in terms of Cash Award from United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as National Resource Person ITC/UNCTAD/GATT (1986), Cash Award as Controller of Examinations from Syndicate, University of the Punjab (2005) and 2nd Asia’s Best Business School Innovation Leadership Award from CMO Asia Council as Director, IBA, PU (2011). The winning of IAEA award 2012 to leaders by leaders is yet another special recognition added in the list of awards achieved by University of the Punjab.

Dr. Ehsan Malik will receive this award in a ceremony to be held in Frankfurt, Germany on Monday, April 30th 2012. The ceremony will be attended by organizations from 72 countries, together with leaders from different business fields, professional from the world of economics, academics personalities and representatives from the diplomatic corps. PU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Dr. Ehsan Malik for achieving this milestone.
