Oracle DB Error ORA-29885 domain index is defined on the column to be modified

The following is the cause of this error:

An ALTER TABLE MODIFY COLUMN was issued on a column on which a domain index exists.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: Drop the domain index before attempting to modify the column.
