Oracle DB Error ORA-12318 database (link name string) is already mounted

The following is the cause of this error:

You are attempting to mount a secondary database that has already been mounted by your instance.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: The database is already mounted, so you need not take additional action to mount it. To establish access, use the ALTER DATABASE linkname OPEN statement to open the database.
