Oracle DB Error ORA-02730 osnrnf: cannot find user logon directory

The following is the cause of this error:

The driver you have specified could not find your logon directory while searching for your local .SQLNET file.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: Set and export the HOME environment variable to identify your home directory. Check with your system administrator to make sure that your UID and home directory are correct in the /etc/passwd file.
