Oracle DB Error ORA-02083 database name has illegal character string

The following is the cause of this error:

The database name supplied contains an invalid character. For example, there can be no periods, semicolons, single quotes, double quotes, blanks, or non-printable characters in the database name. See the Oracle DB Error ORAcle9i Database Administrator's Guide for naming rules.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: Specify a valid database name.
