Oracle DB Error ORA-02042 too many distributed transactions

The following is the cause of this error:

The distributed transaction table is full because too many distributed transactions are active.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: Increase the DISTRIBUTED_TRANSACTIONS parameter in the initialization parameter file, shut down and restart Oracle DB Error ORAcle, or run fewer transactions. If it is certain there are not too many concurrent distributed transactions, this may be an internal error. In this case, contact Oracle DB Error ORAcle Support Services. Shutting down and restarting the instance could be a workaround.
