Oracle DB Error ORA-02015 cannot select FOR UPDATE from remote table

The following is the cause of this error:

An attempt was made to SELECT... FOR UPDATE from a table in a remote database.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: It is not currently possible to SELECT... FOR UPDATE from a table in a remote database. Instead, log in or connect directly to the remote database before entering a SELECT... FOR UPDATE on its tables.
