Oracle DB Error ORA-01848 day of year must be between 1 and 365 (366 for leap year)

The following is the cause of this error:

An invalid day of the year was specified in a date. Day of the year (DDD) must be between 1 and 365 for a non-leap year or 1 and 366 for a leap year.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: Enter a day of the year value between 1 and 365 (or 366).
