Oracle DB Error ORA-01682 read-only DB cannot allocate tempOracle DB Error ORAry space in tablespace string

The following is the cause of this error:

TempOracle DB Error ORAry space (usually for sorting) could not be allocated in either main stOracle DB Error ORAge or a tempOracle DB Error ORAry file. An attempt was made to allocate the space from the tablespace named, but the database is opened read only. The database open requires a sort work space.

Action you can take to resolve this issue: Either allow sufficient workspace in main stOracle DB Error ORAge (SORT_AREA_SIZE initialization parameter), or create a tempOracle DB Error ORAry tablespace before making the database read only. Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD TEMPFILE statement to add tempOracle DB Error ORAry files to the tempOracle DB Error ORAry tablespace.
