LUMS - 6 students qualify for exchange semester at FHJ

According to a notification, issued by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), six undergraduate students have qualified for an exchange semester with the FH Joanneum University (FHJ), Austria under the LUMS-FHJ Student Exchange Program. The program offers an opportunity to study at the FHJ in Graz, Austria for the Fall Semester, 2013-14 (September 2013 - January 2014) or the Spring Semester, 2013-14 (February 2014 - June 2014).

Over the years, interest in this exchange program has seen an upward trend and this year, nearly 100 applications were competing for the six available positions. The selection process was executed by the LUMS Office of Student Affairs (OSA), and all applications were carefully assessed for a written statement of purpose and one-on-one discussions with students shortlisted for interviews by an assigned panel that consisted of Dr. Anjum Alvi (Faculty, Social Sciences), Dr. Hadia Majid (Faculty, Economics), Mazhar Chinoy (Director, OSA) and Aisha Kanwal (OSA – Exchange Programs).
