About Medical Qualifying Examination: According to the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), the principal aim of the Medical Qualifying Examination is to determine whether an individual has the necessary basic knowledge and clinical skills to practise safe medicine. The examinations are held twice a year at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, University of Malaya and Universiti Sains Malaysia in March and October. The candidates are subjected to the rules and the regulations of those examining bodies with regards to the examination, the resitting of any examination and the imposition of any fee as in Medical (Setting of Examination for Provisional Registration) Regulations 1993.
