How often does the Google search engine crawl the web?

Google crawls the web regularly to rebuild and update its index. Crawling is based on a number of factors such as links to a page, PageRank, and crawling constraints. However, you can increase your crawl rate using the options available in the Google Webmaster Tools. To change the crawl rate, follow the steps given below:

1. On the Webmaster Tools Home page, click the site you want.
2. Under Site configuration, click Settings.
3. In the Crawl rate section, select the option you want.
