Enable SharePoint 2010 Workflows in Microsoft SharePoint 2013

You can enable SharePoint 2010 workflows, commonly known as Out-of-the-box' workflows feature, in SharePoint 2013 by activating the relevant feature from site collection features. Follow the steps given below to activate the workflows feature:

1.Click on the Site Settings button on the top-right corner of the window.
2. Click Site Collection Administration.
3. Click Site collection features.
4. Click Activate against the Workflows feature to enable out-of-the-box workflows feature.

Once activated, you will be able to see these following workflow types under workflow settings: Collect Feedback, Approval, Collect Signatures, Translation Management and Issue Tracking.
